I Have a New Cell Phone!
It wasn’t by choice. My Kyocera, barely two years old, went to cell phone heaven. It was waning for some time, despite having purchased a new battery not quite two years ago. So, my dear brother and I went to the Verizon Wireless store this past Saturday, where I not only found the model of phone I had considered, and that my brother had selected in the browsing process, but I also received a $100.00 credit towards a new model. Thus, the cell did not cost me a penny! Good news, since I was fuming about the fact that my former cell had experienced such a short life span.
Anyway, virtually every phone on display has the camera feature, which I personally loathe. I see no value in this feature. However, my father, fascinated by my new purchase, commented that the camera feature could prove useful. He said, “If you happen to be out at an affair, you can snap a quick picture.” Hmmm. I had not considered that.
Anyway, here it is if you want to take a look. It was rated very highly apparently by Consumer Reports, if those sort of things matter to you.

Hey, that’s the phone I have! I got it a few months ago. Did all the research and it was by far the best. I wasn’t looking for a lot of bells and whistles, either, but it’s hard to find anything bare bones nowadays. Anyway, I love it. It’s sturdy (I tend to drop mine), it has great battery life, and it takes good pictures. I like having it with me, because I often forget my camera. It’s nice to always have a camera to grab a quick shot, and the 1.3 megapixel resolution is good enough to get prints of your pictures. I never use the music player function, although I did buy a cable so I could upload my pictures to my computer and create my own ringtones from my CDs. (That was a bit ambitious - the type of thing I’d only try in the summer.)
Enjoy your new toy!

Thank you for the info. re: our phone. I most likely will not fully realize the capacity of the phone, but, I am looking forward to learning about and using as many of the features as I can.
