You Just Can’t Make This Stuff Up #5

This past Wednesday was my first day back teaching my Spanish 2 students following my illness. During my afternoon Spanish 2 class, the students were engaged in an oral pair activity. However, after a few minutes, many of the pair groups had completed the assignment, and had begun to chat quietly amongst themselves about this, that and a third. I attempted to get their attention. After two failed attempts, I just waited. I figured sooner or later, at least one student would acknowledge me. After a few seconds, one of my lovely cherubs turned to me and said, “Miss Profe, are you waiting for us?”

We looked at each other, and just laughed.
